Early life:
Sanath Jayasuriya was born in the Southern Sri Lankan town of Matara, to the group of Dunstan and Breeda Jayasuriya. He’s an elder brother, Chandana Jayasuriya. He was educated at St. Servatius’ University, Matara, where his cricketing abilities were nourished by his college principal, G. L. Galappathy, as well as cricket coach, Lionel Wagasinghe.
